now that the onewaymirror tapes have dropped, i have a few new destinations to bring into the tactic realm.

secondly, of course, is this website. some of you might remember an older version of it which existed alongside the first few releases. that version was irrelevant and ugly. i have redesigned and repurposed it since.
this blog will work to not only catalogue and list all existing releases in a nice, tagged, alphabetized list - but act as the main destination / headquarters for a lot of archival work that i plan on undertaking for the rest of my life. i am intensely passionate about the constant, accurate archiving of art and music which is very literally negligible in the eyes of most.
if you care enough to be here, you're probably already aware of sites like Sophie's Floorboard (https://sophiesfloorboard.blogspot.com/)... online havens like these are a major, major inspiration, as they justly should be for all those who visit them. i am not trying to simply rehash the lists of obscure and under-recognised music that these sites have already catalogued.
this will be a far more personal archive -- personal to me and my friends, that is. things which only exist physically, demos which i own but no one else does, band and artist history, photos, trivia, videos - all of it. this is all just a reflection of what i love. i am trying my best to very literally capture this lightning in a bottle.
sometimes i find CDs with old holiday photos on them - not my family, just someone's. these will make their way here. sometimes i find recordings of random people speaking into a cassette - they will make their way here. not to profit from, but just as pure curiosity. these things all made their way into my life for some reason or another, so i feel it is then my duty to never let them go.
this will of course run in tandem with physical releases and the usual youtube uploads. things which are not a tactic release per se will be uploaded with (probably a Google Drive) download link. maybe even a youtube video conversion...
i miss internet 1.5. i want to see more of it done, i want to be the change that i seek.
so let this site consolidate the deepest core of the individual australian identities i adore, and those identities which i stumble into across all reaches of the internet. while i am so young and overflown with free time and autonomy, let me work as hard as i can to leave a memory for us to both share for the rest of time.
